Makita BHX2500CA Handheld Leaf Blower

There’s only so much you can do with a leaf blower… make it powerful, make it lightweight, and make it fuel-efficient. Makita has done all three with the BHX2500CA. Let’s begin with the fuel efficiency because that’s the “selling point” of this high-quality gas leaf blower. The 4-stroke engine means that it uses fuel up to 60% more efficiently than a 2-stroke one would. That enhanced engine makes for a heavier machine, but not by a whole lot – this leaf blower (when filled with gas, of course) weighs only 9.8 pounds. The last thing to note is the easy-cleaning air filters. This model was designed for those who are going to be blowing leaves day in and day out. Although you’ll pay a bit more upfront, you’ll save a ton of money down the line on fuel costs – it’s kind of like how buying solar panels is initially very expensive, but great for your monthly energy bill down the line.

Poulan Pro 967281501 Lawn and Garden Blower Vac

Sometimes, the ordinary isn’t enough. Sometimes you try the ordinary, and you’re still itching for something more.   The “ordinary” power of gas leaf blowers is 170 MPH. This model from Poulan Pro boasts an impressive 200 MPH. Although 30 MPH doesn’t seem like a huge difference on the surface, it really is – all of the reviewers speak to how much more powerful it is compared to their other leaf blowers with 170.   The cool thing about this model is the fact that it can be a vacuum… but it doesn’t  have  to be. The base model is $109.99, and if you want to turn it into a vacuum as well, you’ll have to shell out around $20 more. Still, not bad.   Besides the increased power, this is a pretty standard electric leaf blower. It has a 2-cycle engine with 25cc, and it also has a variable speed control.   Overall, this one’s pretty similar to #1, except it only has half of the warranty that #1 does. Get #1 if you’re concerned about the warranty; get this one if you’re concerned about power.

Husqvarna 350BT Gas Powered Back Pack Blower

This thing is HUGE! Good thing it has a backpack attachment. Click here to view the pictures and see what we mean. Truth be told, you’re probably only going to need this one if you own a landscape company or just an exceptionally large yard. The engine is 50.2cc – double (or more than double) than the rest of the leaf blowers so far on this list. Usually, huge engines on gas leaf blowers are counterproductive, because the extra power makes you burn fuel too quickly. However, in this model, Husqvarna has included an X-Torq engine. In essence, this means that it’s fuel-efficient. You get a 2-year warranty off the bat, and if you buy fuel + register your product online, you get a 4-year one. Not bad. Get this top performance gas leaf blower if you’re looking for one that you’ll be able to use for huge projects over extended periods of time. If you own a landscape company, we’d recommend using this one as your #1 blower – it’s by far the most common one in the industry for a good reason. T

Gas Powered Blower Weed Eater FB25 25cc 2 Stroke 170 MPH

Or, maybe you don’t need all of the bells and whistles. If that’s the case, then the FB25 from Weed Eater is right up your alley.   Now as you can tell by the title, this one claims to have (almost) identical features to #1 on this list. And yet, it’s substantially cheaper. Unfortunately, there are some negative reviews. Here’s what we garnered from the negative ones…   They all claim that the unit broke after a couple of uses They all claim that Weed Eater gave them a hard time when they tried to repair it All of the reviews are pretty old – 2011, 2012, etc.   Now, onto the good. The rest of the reviewers don’t mention anything about the unit breaking. In fact, they all claim that it has lasted them a while, and some of them even claim that it performed better than the more expensive models that are available on Amazon.   Conclusion: Weed Eater had some problems with this unit in the past, but they appear to be sorted out. Get this model if you’re looking for a lightweight gas leaf bl
